Synopsis: Since her parents’ bitter divorce, McLean and her dad, a restaurant consultant, have been on the move-four towns in two years. Estranged from her mother and her mother’s new family, McLean has followed her dad in leaving the unhappy past behind. And each new place gives her a chance to try out a new persona: from cheerleader to drama diva. But now, for the first time, McLean discovers a desire to stay in one place and just be herself, whoever that is. Perhaps Dave, the guy next door, can help her find out.

When i first read the synopsis for this book i was extremely intrigued. First, because I always wished that i could restart my life like McLean does in this book. Second, i am a big fan of Sarah Dessen and her books always excite me.

Anyways i gotta say i love the plot of this book. i always wanted to move away just to make myself over. a new personality, a new look, a new start. Well this is what McLean does in this book and i loved it. In this book McLean tries to follow her normal routine of creating a new self, making friends, and then leaving. However, things don't go the way she wants. she fails to live as a fake version of herself and ends up living as her true self. this of course is a new thing to McLean and feels award to her, But with the help of some new friends and a cute guy(duhh) she learns what it feels like to be yourself.

I really liked Dave. A boy genius turned awkward social turtle. i love the way him and McLean meet and everything about their relationship. Man, I really there was a guy like him out theirr. I also fell in love with McLean. she is one bad ass observer. AHHAHA. i always admire people who are able to observe so well.
Overall I definitely recommend this book if you are a fan of sarah dessen or you just want a fun summer read. (cause it only took me like 4 hours to read.)
